HISTORY
Founded in 1968 by Mr. Wichien Tiyaboonchai as one of the first polythene bag manufacturers in Thailand. The Company name was originally SAHACHIT WATANA FACTORY, the present name was registered in 1982. When the oil crisis in the early 70s affected the supply of plastic raw material, an associate company, TANAWAT IMPORT EXPORT (TIE) was founded to import resins for local consumption.

When Thai Petrochemical Industries (TPI) set up its resin plant in Thailand in the 1980s, TIE ceased to import and became one of the ten agents appointed by TPI to distribute its resin.During this period, the Company decided to change its direction and greater effort was directed towards manufacturing, the Company name was changed to its present one in 1982 to mark its refocusing on bag manufacturing. The early success within the local market led to expansion into export.

The first factory, set up in Taladploo District in 1968, was of 400 sq.m. Then, in 1973 the factory was moved to Nongkaem District and expanded to an area of 1,600 sq.m,. The factory was relocated again, in 1992, to its present site and further expanded to 6,500 sq. m. in area to implement the expansion plan and meet further rises in export demand. An increase in production to 15,000 metrictons per year is already envisaged which will inevitably lead to further enlargement of the actual plant.
